Thank you so much for letting me do your senior photos! What a handsome young man!
I had such a blast with you and your mom! Also, thanks for putting up with me and my…just one more over here.
We used the nice backgrounds that the city provided for us. Love using rough and rusty things I find along the way! We also headed down to a pond and a barn below my house. Turned out pretty cool!
Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Four amazing (!) kids came to my house to have their pictures taken. Usually four kids is quite the job, but these guys were so easy to work with. Thanks so much kids!!!
All the leaves were gone, but the weather was still nice enough. The one thing that is nice that time of year is the light. I also love how the dry grass ads a cool feel to the images.
Here are some of my favorite images. Enjoy!

These two brothers were such a treat to photograph!!!
I went to their farm and we found all kinds of great spots around their house. Some weeds, a little cement, a dark cave of a barn, a pumphouse, the barnbridge, the silo…and finally I said. Whew! Is there any other place you’d like to take pictures? Of course Reid had one…the swing…off we went…and snapped a few more. Gotta LOVE it!
These boys were amazing! No fuss…just awesomeness! Thanks boys!
Here are some of my many favorite shots! Enjoy!

Last winter I went to meet with a client. On my way there I stopped a few places to take some pictures and also on the way back. Some of you may remember my Raccoon shot. Here are some other things I saw that day. Enjoy!
A bridge in rural Spring Grove.
I love the lines…
…the weathered look…
…the simple shapes…
…the rust…and everything about that bridge!
The snow looks so pure and clean.
How long will this shed weather nature and it’s forces?
Silence…
Contrast…
Interesting shapes…

My dad’s workshop

This past summer I had to take some shots in my Dad’s workshop in his barn. It used to house beef cows and I have many memories of sticky/sandpapery loooong tongues and calves that would “inhale” their milk. Well, it sure looks and smells much different now! For many years my Dad did the fine jewelry engraving and bigger things in the house. Yes! He can actually write your name INSIDE a ring…in CURSIVE! He is a very talented man with a preference for perfection. He likes to do the job right, the first time. Next time I visit I will make sure I photograph some of his work. Woodworking, clay modeling, plaster modeling, engraving…you name it. Here are some shots from his workshop. This type of photography is probably some of my favorite kind of work. Hopefully I can find a client that has a need for something like this. : )
Some examples of my Dad’s amazing talent.

Just wanted to share one of my favorite shots of the kids. A couple of years ago I was getting ready for a shoot with some kids and wanted to get some ideas. The kids came along and sat in the door. Then it occurred to me that I had to get a shot of them as well. So I started talking about the abandoned house behind me. I said there was a monster living there. They looked up as I continued…the tickle monster. Somewhere in there I was able to capture them, just as they were, with band-aids (Jakob), tattoos (Maria) and missing teeth (Stine). I love it!
