Thank you so much for letting me do your senior photos! What a handsome young man!

I had such a blast with you and your mom! Also, thanks for putting up with me and my…just one more over here.

We used the nice backgrounds that the city provided for us. Love using rough and rusty things I find along the way! We also headed down to a pond and a barn below my house. Turned out pretty cool!

Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

It was a blustery cool afternoon when we headed to Decorah (IA) to finally get the annual family photos done. There are so many cool backgrounds in that town and it makes it really fun to shoot. The only thing that was a little hard, was the fact that the wind was so cool that it was hard to get comfortable. The kids were troupers and we still got lots of fun shots. Thanks guys!

Grandma & Grandpa joined in for some of the shots. What sweet people! I see where Mom gets her good looks!

After the Christmas card was finished, Mom decided she wanted to do something different this year. Love the idea of a photo of the kids on an actual stamp!! GO MOM! Check out the very first image. Cool idea!

I have so many favorites…and here are some of them. Enjoy!

We had a beautiful day, fun backgrounds and a great time! Thanks for doing just one more pose for me!

We toured around Spring Grove and took advantage of all the stuff around us. Could have worked another week straight, but I suppose I have to save some of it for later.

Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

This summer my family and I were able to spend some time in Norway. My sister’s friend asked if I would possibly take some confirmation photos of her son. What a treat! I have so many places I would love to try out. I got my first wish: the old dock where the store was when I was a kid. Of course everything looks different now, but it was an awesome place to shoot.

Joachim was such a fun guy to photograph! He didn’t object to “stand there”, “move your foot” or “how about…?”. Thanks! You made my job even funner!

Here are some…I know…a lot…of favorites. Enjoy!

Just giddy with these images. Here is one…more images and text to come!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! I’ve been carrying around a nasty sinus infection for a few weeks now and it felt sooooooooo great to be outside feeling slight kisses from the sun on my face. Of course it is raining and “cold” again now…and…hold on to your underwear…snow is expected this weekend! YIKES! Oh well, I suppose we go through this every spring. Still…there is just something magical about all the wonderful transformations taking place in nature.

Jakob had invited the neighbor kids over to check out what they could find in the pond just below our house. Of course he could not go “unparented”, so I grabbed my camera and tagged along. It was so sweet to see how they cleaned out every inch along the edge of the water looking for anything that moved. Every now and then I would hear shrieks of joy…and “come and look what we caught”! So sweet!

Check out the itty-bitty frog I captured. I was taking photos of the kids and suddenly heard this loud frog sound. We can hear them from our house and I always imagined that they were quite large. No bigger than my thumb!!! When they make their croaking sound they blow up their chest like a balloon. It was really crazy to get so close to the “action”.

Here are some of the images I enjoyed “catching”!

Yes! Spring is here!

Another fun session in Spring Grove. I met Peter at Ellingson Elevator where his dad works. We did a few shots in and around the elevator. The light was just fantastic!

Then we went over by the plant in town, Northern Engraving. It is an older building with really cool features. Finishing up by the old swimming pool. There are so many sweet backgrounds in and around town!

Thanks for being so fun to work with Peter! Enjoy some of my favorites.

Last week we went around Caledonia getting some fun pictures of this family. I ALWAYS know I will have a good time…as I did again this time. Kenny knew of an old barn, so even if we were in town, we got some of that beautiful limestone as a background. Thanks Kenny!

Little Libby is just a ham! This time she did a little dance and some really cool modeling moves. I had a hard time getting pictures…I was laughing so hard. Then there is Gabe…what a card! Being goofy, jumping through my shots of Libby. Pauly was a great sport and did an awesome job.

Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

Last weekend these sweet girls came out to my house and we did a bunch of fun shots. The weather was awesome…with a small exception of all the bugs that came out as we went down in the valley.

The girls had lots of different outfits and we had a great time. I think these turned out really cool!

Check out some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Some more cards…

Yes, I use a lot of the same templates…designed by me…but I don’t just drop in a picture and leave it at that. Every card will be modified to fit the image it goes with or totally reworked. Often times I just create new ideas.

Have I mentioned before that I totally LOVE doing this? In case you’re wondering…I TOTALLY LOVE THIS!

The first, square ones, are designed to be printed as 5×5’s on watercolor paper. The rest as photographic prints.
