Late last fall this wonderful couple took me to the Science Building at Luther College for their engagement session. The building was just amazing! We had a fun time rearranging furniture and quietly walking through the library. Thanks for such a great place for your session!

Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Abby & Dexter are just counting the days now. What I know they have ready…is the Guestbook that I worked on. I used some of the images from the Engagement Session and created something fun for guests to sign…and fun to take out after the wedding.

Enjoy!

We sooo majorly lucked out with the weather! What a beautiful day to do engagement photos. What a sweet couple. Laughing and being totally in love the whole time…just made my job easier.

We headed to Hokah, specifically Como Falls. The waterfall is pretty cool and the sandstone has a warm glow to it. We also got in a few shots across the river.

Thanks for hanging out! Here are some of my favorite pictures. Enjoy!

I met Dustin when he was only five years old, when I lived with his family for a year. He was such a sweet little blondie back then. Dustin has always been a laid-back kind-of-guy…and was very patient during this engagement session.

Rachel…what can I say…such a beautiful and fun woman!

We drove down to Beaver State Park for the first part of our shoot. The leaves were almost all gone, but still…what a beautiful area! The temperature was wonderful and besides one other couple…we had the place all to ourselves.

Next we headed up to the heart of Caledonia, MN, did some shots by this huge water tower, found a tree with leaves and last but not least…a fun playground set. LOVE the kissing picture. Sweet…is the word!

Enjoy a few of my favorites!

Friday morning looked gloomy and grey. I checked the weather forecase, which predicted more clouds and possibly rain. Oh well, I thought…you take what you get and make the best of it. Right before I left my one daughter looked at me and stated that the weather was going to be sunny and super ALL DAY. Thanks sweetie, I told her, thinking what a positive mind she had. As I drove to the Winnebago Valley Park, where the shoot would be, I could see blue skies to the north and…was I just imagining this or were the clouds going away…? By the time I got to the park the clouds were almost gone. Amazing!!!

I met Natasha last year when she and her mother came to visit me and see me and my work. Now I got to meet Joey. I think Joey smiled and made jokes the whole time. What a fun couple! What a treat! Later this summer I get to shoot their wedding as well. I’m very excited!

Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Wildcat Landing, Brownsville MN – June 3rd
The day started out cold and rainy and I thought I would have to re-schedule my engagement session with Amy and Eric. The rain stopped, it was a bit breezy, but not cold. Amy and Eric were game and so we headed down to Wildcat landing in Brownsville, a place they often spend their time together. The nice thing about the cool weather was that it was practically empty. Here are some favorites. Enjoy!

By accident I managed to delete this post and the comments that were made. So this is a re-write.

I just returned from a workshop in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The K2 workshop was amazing. Kevin Keelan shared generously with his time and talent. I know what I learned will make a huge difference in my work. The other photographers that attended were a lot of fun and I feel that I made some great friends. Thanks Kim & Randy, Erin, BJ, Christine, Julie, Cindy, Mary Ann (she actually speaks Norwegian!), Lance, Jason, Robert, Daniela, Gabriel & Mike. The models were great, Sarah & Scott. Thanks for the great sushi Phil!

Here are some of my favorite images. Feel free to critique. Slideshow
