Boys…boys…boys… Sweet boys!

Earlier this winter…on a cold winter’s day…these boys came to my house, warmed up by the fire…and then we sent them outside. Thanks for braving the chilly temperature guys!!!

We were really lucky with the pictures, because we really didn’t have many snow days this winter. They happened to come right after some nice snowfall…and…voilà…sweetness meet white!

Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Hope your Friday is as sweet as mine!

In the middle of winter…a little sign of spring shows up in our house…TULIPANER!

I will never claim to have a green thumb…both my grandmothers have at least two each!!! At my house…if they survive…I’m doing something right…if not…well…it wasn’t the right kind of plant for me!

In October or November…my mind can’t remember that far back…I planted a bunch of bulbs. I would look and look and look for buds, but nothing…for the longest time. Then during Christmas sometime they finally showed up! They have been millimetering up (NO inching here!) out of the pot. I’m sure the quality of dirt isn’t the best…as well as many other things, but HEY!!!…they’re growing!!! Jippi! It is a miracle every time a flower buds out. I finally have ONE that’s been showing us the miraculous wonders of the plant world.

As much as I am enjoying winter, now that we finally have some snow, I am excited already about spring…my very favorite time of year…that is just a few months away! I hope this brings you a little joy as well!

Here is the book I created for these sweet kids. Love that Mom is also in the picture. I have the best job ever!

This book is 3×3 and fits nicely in your purse, just like the wallet size MINI BOOK.

Enjoy!

Here are some ideas that I have been working on for Lucas.

So many cool images to pick from makes for many ideas when it comes to cards.

It’s all about having fun with it!

…the St Paul skyline…and some storm-clouds…makes for a sweet picture!

While waiting for some files to upload…well, actually the upload finished…and I kept on working with a mixture of images. I’ve had the idea for a while, but finally found some time to work on it. I LOVE  how it turned out and might even consider this one for part of the house that has yet to get any artwork.

It should brighten up someone’s day. : )

Last winter I went to meet with a client. On my way there I stopped a few places to take some pictures and also on the way back. Some of you may remember my Raccoon shot. Here are some other things I saw that day. Enjoy!

Winter…

My sister, her daughter Tindra and I decided to walk down to the new Opera House in Oslo. It opened in April of this year and has been in the news quite a bit.

The moment I saw the building I was blown away. I have seen lots of images, but they are nothing compared to actually being there. Oslo Opera House is simply stunning! You better believe I got my camera out in a hurry. Those moments make it hard for me to focus on anything else other than framing up images through my camera.

The building is an amazing piece of art. There is white marble everywhere you walk and the building has lots of glass which gives a bright wonderful light on the inside of the building. The cool thing is that you can actually walk up on top of the roof. When you get up there the side of the building is put together with these  “braille” looking tiles. On the bottom the marble goes right into the fjord.

The inside was another sweet surprise. Contemporary design a classy giftshop and a simple restaurant with an amazing wine list. Even the bathrooms were something to see.

I could have walked around all day. I think my favorite part is the simple style that you see everywhere in and outside the building. There are strong clean lines EVERYWHERE. LOVE IT!

Here are some of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

I would love to go and see a performance. Imagine the view from inside when the sun goes down.

In between all the white and wood you will find a bright dash of red on the tables in the restaurant. Which also has a beautiful view of the fjord.

As the weather changed I found myself constantly drawn to this huge window facing west.
