It was a blustery cool afternoon when we headed to Decorah (IA) to finally get the annual family photos done. There are so many cool backgrounds in that town and it makes it really fun to shoot. The only thing that was a little hard, was the fact that the wind was so cool that it was hard to get comfortable. The kids were troupers and we still got lots of fun shots. Thanks guys!

Grandma & Grandpa joined in for some of the shots. What sweet people! I see where Mom gets her good looks!

After the Christmas card was finished, Mom decided she wanted to do something different this year. Love the idea of a photo of the kids on an actual stamp!! GO MOM! Check out the very first image. Cool idea!

I have so many favorites…and here are some of them. Enjoy!

It was one of those days…you know the sun is shining and you just can’t stand it any longer…sitting inside, that is. Back in early April I went for a walk below my house and took my camera along. I had initially planned on walking to the old farm and back, nothing major. Actually that was exactly what I did…but I was gone for about three hours. It was a blast! It was a little chilly, but the sun warmed just enough to not get cold. I shot the cat, no…not literally, some dried-up flowers, well…weeds probably, old farm machinery and an old house. I could go back today and get totally different images.

Here are a few of my shots from that day! It seems like ages ago. I have actually worn shorts since then…and the grass is green! Yikes! I’ll have to go on another walk.  : ) Enjoy!

Last winter I went to meet with a client. On my way there I stopped a few places to take some pictures and also on the way back. Some of you may remember my Raccoon shot. Here are some other things I saw that day. Enjoy!

Winter…

Finally! I’ve had a chance to start looking at the images from this summer in Norway. The day before my sisters wedding they had a fun get-together at my Dad’s farm for everyone that would be at the wedding the next day, and a few others. I didn’t take too many shots, because I had too much fun visiting with relatives I hadn’t seen for a long time and with Tonje and Nikke’s friends.

They had an amazing seafood soup. rust has amazing chefs, I tell ya! It was out of this world. I can’t believe I don’t have any shots of it.

Nikke and Krille started playing the guitar and the party was on. Everyone were having such a good time and no one wanted to leave. Well, there was that big day coming up, so most people eventually turned in. Here are a few shots.

The relatives are rolling in. Literally! My cousin Frode and his family brought a camper.

The kids loved to play with cousin Frode. Amazing energy!

Stine in the camper.

Breaking out the bubbly.

Tonje welcoming cousin Torgeir and wife Katrine with Champagne.

“Team rust” – Natalie and Freddan. Awesome work guys!

Some fun conversations.

Sisters

…more good conversation

Tindra and Anita.

My dad had recently tore down to rebuild a stone wall. Perfect seating for this fun party. They lined up long tables along the long! stone wall. What a nice setting for a party.

The baby is sleeping. Party time!

Beautiful flowers that our Mom brought from Oslo.

Nikke (right) and his friend Krille singing the night away.

Everyone were having fun. Check out the mountains in the background. They reach well above the tree-line and they are always snow covered on the tops.
